The sites business began to operate in 1990, distributing incense wands and perfumed essences imported from India. The main distribution channel was through herbalist shops. In short, Himalaya met with gradually increasing interest on the part of the general public and of operators in the sector.

The group is composed of two companies: Himalaya srl Italia, with head offices in Rome, and Himalaya U.K. Ltd with head offices in London. The annual turnover amounts to more than one million Euro.

All the products in the various lines are made without employing child labor and without using any toxic substances. The production of perfumed essences is one of the few in Italy that can boast certification by IFRA, a recognized international organization that develops guidelines for quality standards with a view to regulating the perfume making sector.
